Q: Do I need an Australian driver's licence to rent a car from you?
No. A driver's licence from your home country is fine. You need to have held a licence for a minimum of 2 years and not have had your licence endorsed, suspended or cancelled within the last 3 years.
Q: I'm under 21 - can I rent a car from you?
Unfortunately we don't offer rentals to under 21 year olds. We are unable to obtain insurance cover from any of the insurers of rental vehicles.
Q: Where can I take my rental car?
A. Depending upon the vehicle hired, it is possible to travel anywhere along the east coast of Australia. Your advised ‘area of travel/insurance’ will be noted on the rental agreement.
Q: Can I pick my rental car up from the Brisbane or Gold Coast airport?
Like most car rental companies, we are an off-airport operator and are able to come into the airport to collect you, but are not able to transact business on airport grounds. We will transfer you to our office and complete documentation in comfort. When you return the vehicle to our office, we will transfer you back to the airport.
Q: Do you do one way car rentals?
We do one-way rentals between Brisbane and the Gold Coast or the Gold Coast and Brisbane. A fee applies for this service.
Q: How much is the insurance excess?
Our standard excess for drivers aged 25 to 75 years of age starts at $950.00. There are higher excesses if any driver is under 25 years or over 75 years of age. Higher excess apply on ‘People Mover’ rentals.
Q: What does the insurance cover?
Loss or damage to the rental vehicle, including single vehicle damage. It does not include underbody or overhead damage and tyre damage (other than normal wear).
Q: What happens if I get a speeding fine?
Any fines incurred during your rental are your responsibility. If we receive any speeding or traffic fines for you, we will complete the statutory declaration and the authorities can contact you directly. You will be charged an administration fee by us.
Q: What happens in the event of a breakdown?
We are members of roadside service, but your first call should be to our office because there are fees associated with roadside service. We can assist at no charge in our local area with driver created problems (locked keys in car, lights on/flat battery, etc). Otherwise, we will put you in touch with roadside service.
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. Our returning clients are guaranteed discounts at any time of the year. Other discount are available - please call us or request a quote for our best deal.
Q: What do I do if I go through a toll?
There are several toll bridges and roads in the Brisbane area that you may pass through in your rental car. It is your responsibility to take note of the date and time you pass through a toll and pay the toll yourself within the given timeframe - this is very simple and we provide you the instructions to do it. If you do not pay any tolls you have incurred, they will be sent to us and we will issue a bill to you for the tolls plus a $20 administration fee.
