It is that wonderful time of year again, when the much loved Bleach* Festival graces the Gold Coast and enriches us with its artistic and cultural masterpieces. This year the Bleach festival is being held from March 4 to March 20.
The Bleach Festival has some awesome events on this year and the festival’s Artistic Director Louise Bezzina is excited, as there is to be 50 events that are set to change your perception of art. “Audiences can expect unconventional outdoor stages as we deliver expressions of music, circus, art and dance in places like beaches, parks and waterways,” says Louise.
Just one of the highlights will be a spectacular contemporary ballet and music performance on a floating stage on one of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful and pristine waterways.
“There will be a performance by Circa centered around Evandale Lake, dancers on Forklifts, and a feature event presented by one of Australia’s most acclaimed projection artists that combines cutting edge technology with portraiture to create a visual display beachside and in Gold Coast parks,” she says. “We want audiences to be captivated and inspired by these incredible and artistic moments in time, in the most unlikely of places.”
To add to the excitement it has also been announced that Aria Award Winning Musician Ben Lee will be featuring at the Bleach Festival. He will be holding a workshop for local musicians. This once in a lifetime opportunity will give budding artists the chance to attend a song writing workshop with Ben Lee. He will also be performing at a free outdoor event at Burleigh.
