This year marks the milestone 15th Year of the annual Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival, held this weekend, 19th to 22 May 2016.
A myriad of Australian and international acts will headline Australia’s largest free music festival. Eric Burdon, Diesel, Cookin’ on 3 Burners featuring Tex Perkins, The Bamboos, and a Back in Blue tribute to AC/DC are just a few of the massive artists to headline the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival Driven by Frizelles.
The free event staged in the streets and in venues over four huge days throughout the picturesque and popular Gold Coast hub will also feature Owen Campbell, Bondi Cigars, Blue Shaddy, Nick Barker and the Heartache State and North Carolina’s Blues Man; Big Daddy Wilson.
These incredible artists join the 2016 headliner, and one of the 100 Greatest Voices of All Time according to Rolling Stone Magazine, Eric Burdon and the Animals. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member since 1994, Burdon’s long string of hits includes “House of the Rising Sun”, “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and “We Gotta Get Out of This Place.”
In a festival first, the five-time ARIA Award winner singer, songwriter and guitarist, Diesel, will headline the Friday Night of the festival with a free full performance in the Jupiters Hotel & Casino Theatre.
The festival will be a huge celebration this year as promoters and organisers are very proud of the fact that after humble beginnings, this great event is now one of the largest music festivals in the country!
